
For our Summer 2026 feature series, we are celebrating 25 years of Melodifestivalen on tour. We will take a look at the songs that have progressed direct to the final over the past two and a half decades. Today we are looking at the songs that have progressed from Gothenburg.
2006 – Heat Four
The fourth heat of 2006 took place at the Scandinavium, in Gothenburg. Carola took first place (290,973 votes), with “Evighet”, while Björn Kjellman took second place (93,574 votes), with “Älskar du livet”.
2007 – Heat Two
The second heat of 2007 took place at the Scandinavium, in Gothenburg. The Ark took first place (185,858 votes), with “The Worrying Kind”, while Marie Lindberg took second place (133,482 votes), with “Trying to Recall”.
2008 – Heat One
The first heat of 2008 took place at the Scandinavium, in Gothenburg. Amy Diamond took first place (175,583 votes), with “Thank You”, while Christer Sjögren took second place (152,867 votes), with “I Love Europe”.
