🇩🇰 #DENMARK: Hillerød In DMGP Host City Discussions

DR, the Danish national broadcaster, have revealed host city talks with Hillerød, for a future Dansk Melodi Grand Prix – their national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest.

Hillerød have revealed that they are in talks with DR about hosting Dansk Melodi Grand Prix in either 2028 or 2029. Hillerød’s suggested host venue is Royal Stage 2, a major extension of the existing Royal Stage arena. The new venue is scheduled for completion in 2027. DR requires a 2 million kroner contribution as a condition for hosting the contest, which Hillerød’s administration has recommended allocating the amount in the 2027 municipal budget.
