This week we travel back to the mid-2000s, and to one of Romania’s most explosive and memorable collaborative acts: Luminița Anghel and Sistem. In 2005, they brought an incredible energy to the stage in Kyiv with the high-octane track “Let Me Try”, a song filled with determination, powerful vocals, and unforgettable industrial percussion.

Romania’s 2005 entry showed a mastery of blending powerhouse vocals with an aggressive, innovative visual routine—featuring flying sparks and oil-drum drumming—paving the way for it to become one of Romania’s highest-scoring and most iconic entries in Eurovision history.
