RTK, the Kosovan nation broadcaster, is to revive ‘Akordet e Kosovës’, after a number of decades.

RTK are reviving Akordet e Kosovës, which will be replacing Festivali i Këngës. This follows after RTK have signed an agreement with the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports to bring back the Contest. It is hoped that the Contest will serve as a national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest and the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in the future. RTK remain ineligible to compete in the Eurovision Song Contest or Junior Eurovision Song Contest, due to a lack of full European Broadcasting Union membership.
