Can #ASTROLOGY predict the winner of Eurovision 2026?

One sleepy Sunday morning during the rehearsals for the Eurovision Song Contest 2024, we were around the breakfast table and our minds started to wander… discussions eventually turned to Astrology and we hit on an interesting notion: which Zodiac sign has won Eurovision the most? We did the research and crunched the numbers for the 2024 edition of the contest HERE and they threw up some interesting – and very accurate – predictions. So we decided to take a look again for this year!

Can the Zodiac point towards who is likely to win the Eurovision Song Contest? First things first, let’s take a look at the Zodiac signs of all Eurovision winners – every soloist, duo and the bands too! We then plotted those results on the graph below and observed the following pattern:

Studying this curve, two distinct peaks emerge: The first and highest is around mid-Spring at Taurus, which has produced 12 Eurovision winners, including most-recent recipient of the Glass Microphone Trophy, Austria’s JJ. The bell curve also gives us a peak around Autumn with Scorpio and Sagittarius both having 10 winners each to their name. This is significant as it means the majority of Eurovision champions have Autumn Zodiac signs (Libra, Scorpio and Sagittarius), which accounts for the largest grouping of winners. At the other end of the scale, late-Spring and Summer see a significant dip, with only 3 Cancerians having won the Eurovision Song Contest in its now 7 decade history. The traditionally gregarious signs of Gemini and Leo are also rather underrepresented among Eurovision winners, which is quite unusual, no?

Next up, we take a look at how the Star Signs of the class of 2026 contest compare:

So who are singers to watch with favourable Star Signs when it comes to Eurovision 2026? As we know, Taurians are usually well represented amongst the ranks of Eurovision winners, but there are only two this year – Switzerland’s Veronica and Poland’s Alicja, both of whom have to overcome the hurdle of semi finals first. We have more Aquarians singing in Vienna this year than any other Star Sign, including pre-contest favourites Pete from Finland, Akylas from Greece and Mariam from Georgia – who has already won a Junior Eurovision Song Contest! Speaking of Finland, the other half of the act Linda is Pisces, another sign that has produced several winners – which could also be good news for Israel’s Noam and Antigoni from Cyprus. Or perhaps adding the Pisces of Georgia’s Giorgi to Mariam’s Aquarius means Georgia are going to be a powerhouse come Saturday!

Felicia, who shares a birthday with Eurovision Ireland’s own Richard, is a Libra – a Star Sign already well represented amongst the pantheon of Eurovision Winners. We have two only Geminis this year, but two is all you need for a set of twins – namely Montenegro’s Tamara and Boy George who is representing San Marino alongside Senhit. Traditionally, there aren’t many Cancerian or Leo winners of Eurovision, which might be bad news for host nation Austria’s Cosmó as well as Albania’s Alis, Simón from Armenia and Lithuania’s Lion Ceccah. Interestingly, Romania might have been climbing the Betting Odds these last few weeks, but the stars would suggest that winning outright isn’t on the cards for Leo Alexandra.

It’s also important to note that despite our best efforts, this list is incomplete – but we’ve included as many acts as we could find birthdays for! But we’ve got enough data that we think it’s worth sharing our findings!

With the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 days away from opening, what do you think? Is there something in this Zodiac research? Do you think the Stars can or will influence the outcome of our beloved contest?
