#BIRTHDAY: 20 Apr – Gabry Ponte is 53
There are always those false-flaggers, although they are to various degrees. Some false flag for a culturally similar nation. Is that more acceptable than those who will do their stuff for the highest bidder? But there’s another degree of false flagger who has a song about their home country.
In other news, today’s birthday boy, the veteran musician Gabriele ‘Gabry’ Ponte – Italian by birth – won the golden ticket for the Serene Republic of San Marino. It was a genuine win, although his song had already been heard by the viewers of Sanremo. San Marino, Sanremo, it’s probably easy to confuse the too. Anyway, his song was not about San Marino, but about Italy instead. It must have been because “Italia” scans easier? Clearly. But Gabry and his pals managed to achieve the Serene Republic’s fourth appearance in the Grand Final. The less said about where Gabry finished is another story. Maybe it was a false-flagness too far.
