VRT, the Belgian national broadcaster, have confirmed that they will not be participating at the 2024 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Madrid.

VRT had been CONSIDERING a to return to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest this year, however financial and time issues are preventing participation for this year, at least. Annemie Gulickxa, Network Director of Ketnet, had the following to say:

“It won’t be this year due to budget and time issues, but we are considering it for next year.”
