
ERT, the Greek national broadcaster and TVM, the Maltese national broadcaster, have both confirmed their participation plans for the 2022 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Yerevan, Armenia.
ERT have confirmed that Greece will not be returning to the Contest after they last participated in 2008. No further reason was given.
TVM have confirmed Malta’s participation in Yerevan. Those wishing to represent the country have until Monday 15th August to apply. Sixteen finalists will progress to the National Final, which will be held on Sunday 2nd October. The winner will be determined by a 75% jury vote and 25% public vote.
