RTVE, the Spanish national broadcaster, have revealed that they will announce their plans for the 2022 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Yerevan, at the 2023 Benidorm Fest launch on Tuesday 19th July.
While an internal selection will be used for 2022, a national selection hasn’t been ruled out in the future. Earlier this month, Eva Mora, the Spanish Head of Delegation, had the following to say:
“We want to bring a good proposal, we want to bring a magnificent artist and we want to promote Junior Eurovision in Spain. This broadcaster has always taken Junior Eurovision very seriously and we want to continue maintaining that approach.”
A presentation launch event for Benidorm Fest 2023, will be held by RTVE on July 19th. Starting with a Press Conference for accredited media, this will be followed by a Concert of participants from Benidorm Fest 2022.
