#JESC22: Austria & Switzerland’s RSI Say No To Yerevan

ORF, the Austrian national broadcaster and RSI, the Swiss Italian public broadcaster, have both confirmed their non-participation at the 2022 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Yerevan, Armenia.

ORF have confirmed to Eurovoix that they will not be making their debut at the 2022 Junior Eurovision Song Contest. To date, they have never broadcast the Contest neither.

RSI have confirmed they will not be participating via their the broadcaster’s Head of Production & Musical Acquisition, Joanne Holder. Joanne Holder had the following to say:

“RSI, like SRF, will not participate in Junior Eurovision 2022. We are a small company and our strategic priorities are currently different. Who knows, maybe things will change in the future.”

RSI took Switzerland to their one and only Junior Eurovision Song Contest, back in 2004 when the Contest was held in Lillehammer.
