Today, SVT, the Swedish national broadcaster, have announced where the Melodifestivalen 2022 tour will be taking place in Stockholm. As well as Heat 1 tomorrow, the Avicii Arena will also host Heats 2 and 3 (12/02 & 19/02). Then the Friends Arena will host Heat 4, the Semi Final and Grand Final (26/02, 05/03 & 12/03).
Anette Brattström, Melodifestivalen 2022 Project Manager, had the following to say:
“The combination of Avicii Arena and Friends Arena is a good solution from a TV point of view. We have a great habit of producing the Melodifestivalen from both arenas. Now it feels extra fun that an even larger audience can experience our show on site as well.”
There is more good news! Restrictions in Sweden are been lifted from Wednesday 9th February. Those with tickets for the Grand Final will find their tickets are still valid. An increased number of tickets will become available at Live Nation for Heats 2-4 and the Semi Final from next week.
