RTVE, the Spanish national broadcaster, have announced they are aiming to broadcast both 2022 Semi Finals on their main channel – La 1. The news has been confirmed by RTVE Director of Originals, Ana Maria Bordas.

Up until now, RTVE have shown the Semi Finals on their secondary channel, La 2. The other Big Five countries all broadcast the Semi Finals on secondary channels:

• France – France 4
• Germany – ONE
• Italy – Rai 4
• United Kingdom – BBC Four
