LTV, the Latvian national broadcaster, has confirmed that a national selection will once again be used to select their Eurovision Song Contest entrant. Samanta Tīna was internally selected for the 2021 Contest after initially been selected for the 2020 Contest, which was cancelled due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Various national selections have been used since Latvia’s debut in 2000. Supernova, is the most recent national selection used, since 2015, It is currently unknown whether Supernova will return for 2022.
