On days when we don’t have matches for UEFA Euro 2020, we will be looking at the Host Cities that have also hosted a Eurovision event – whether it be the Eurovision Song Contest, Junior Eurovision Song Contest or the Eurovision Dance Contest. Today we move on to Glasgow, where Hampden Park is hosting some matches.
2008 – SECC
The 2nd Eurovision Dance Contest was held at the SECC in Glasgow. The Contest was hosted by Graham Norton and Claudia Winkleman. Edyta Herbuś and Marcin Mroczek took victory for Poland, with the Rumba, Cha-Cha & Jazz, scoring 154 points.
Gavin Ó Fearraigh and Dearbhla Lennon placed 11th for Ireland, with the Paso Doble, Rumba & Hard Shoe Irish Dance, scoring 40 points.
Join us tomorrow, as we visit Munich, another Euro 2020 Eurovision Host City.
