Over the course of April and May, on the lead up to the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest, we celebrated the countries that participated in this year’s Contest, in Rotterdam. We are now remembering the countries that had previously participated in the Contest – today we remember Morocco.
Morocco debuted at the Contest in 1980, in The Hague, The Netherlands. Samira Said finished in eighteenth place, with her entry “Bitaqat Hob”, scoring 7 points.
Morocco’s debut was also their most successful and most recent entry. While they’ve only had one entry to date, we didn’t want to leave them out, at our look back at past participating countries.
Join us tomorrow, as we remember Slovakia at the Eurovision Song Contest. Let us know what you think about the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest – either in the comments below or on our FACEBOOK and TWITTER pages.
