#ESC21: Ukraine Only Country Left With A 100% Qualification Record

Since 2004, when the Eurovision Song Contest took place in Istanbul, Turkey, a Semi Final/s have been in place. 17 years later, Ukraine are the only country left to have a 100% qualification record. In 2005 and 2017, Ukraine qualified automatically as the host nation, while they were automatic finalists in 2007 after finishing in the top ten in 2006. They didn’t enter in 2015 or 2019.

2004

Ruslana represented Ukraine in Istanbul, Turkey with “Wild Dances”. In the Semi Final she came 2nd, with 256 points and in the Final she came 1st, with 280 points.

2006

Tina Karol represented Ukraine in Athens, Greece with “Show Me Your Love”. In the Semi Final she came 7th, with 146 points and in the Final she came 7th, with 145 points.

2008

Ani Lorak represented Ukraine in Belgrade, Serbia with “Shady Lady”. In the Semi Final she came 1st, with 152 points and in the Final she came 2nd, with 230 points.

2009

Svetlana Loboda represented Ukraine in Moscow, Russia with “Be My Valentine! (Anti-Crisis Girl)”. In the Semi Final she came 6th, with 80 points and in the Final she came 12th, with 76 points.

2010

Alyosha represented Ukraine in Oslo, Norway with “Sweet People”. In the Semi Final she came 7th, with 77 points and in the Final she came 10th, with 108 points.

2011

Mika Newton represented Ukraine in Dusseldorf, Germany with “Angel”. In the Semi Final she came 6th, with 81 points and in the Final she came 4th, with 159 points.

2012

Gaitana represented Ukraine in Baku, Azerbaijan with “Be My Guest”. In the Semi Final she came 8th, with 64 points and in the Final she came 15th, with 65 points.

2013

Zlata Ognevich represented Ukraine in Malmo, Sweden with “Gravity”. In the Semi Final she came 3rd, with 140 points and in the Final she came 3rd, with 214 points.

2014

Mariya Yaremchuk represented Ukraine in Copenhagen, Denmark with “Tick-Tock”. In the Semi Final she came 5th, with 118 points and in the Final she came 6th, with 113 points.

2016

Jamala represented Ukraine in Stockholm, Sweden with “1944”. In the Semi Final she came 2nd, with 287 points and in the Final she came 1st, with 534 points.

2018

Mélovin represented Ukraine in Lisbon, Portugal with “Under the Ladder”. In the Semi Final he came 6th, with 179 points and in the Final he came 17th, with 130 points.

2021

Go_A are representing Ukraine in Rotterdam, The Netherlands with “Shum”. They qualified for this year’s Final during last night’s Semi Final. The full results will be known after the 2021 Final.
