#SLOVENIA – Ana Soklič to sing ‘Amen’ at Eurovision 2021

Ana Soklič will sing Amen for Slovenia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021.

The song premiered on a special edition of EMA earlier tonight, though both the song and Ana Soklič were selected internally following her victory at EMA in 2020 with ‘Voda’. As the contest was subsequently cancelled, RTVSLO allowed Ana to represent Slovenia this year.

EMA 2021 show was hosted by former Eurovision entrant Lea Sirk and Nejc Šmit. Although there wasn’t the usual line-up of songs for the Slovene public to choose from, there was a retrospect celebrating Slovenia’s 60th anniversary at the Eurovision Song Contest – including their appearances as part of Yugoslavia. Many of Slovenia and Yugoslavia’s Eurovision stars also stopped by via videocall to wish Ana all the best for her preparations for the contest.

Slovenia will now have to win a spot in the Eurovision Final by competing in the 1st semi final on Tuesday 18th. They are drawn to perform in the 1st half of the semi. Do you think they can do it? Could they maybe even win the whole contest?

What do you think? Did Slovenia make a good choice? Do you like the song?

Let us know what you think!
