The stage for this year’s Melodifestivalen was revealed earlier today and was designed by Viktor Brattström – here it is:

Here are some statistics about this year’s stage:

• Materials used include Laminate, Glass, Foiled Cardboard, Sheet Metal, Aluminium and Steel
• 318 Lights (283 are movable)
• The lighting rig weighs 22 tons
• The stage is 10.7 metres wide and 20 metres deep
• A reflectiive black roof measuring 140 metres squared
• 3 LED walls measuring 4 by 4 metres and and LED floor measuring 20 metres by 3.6 metres
