In this series from Eurovision Ireland, we will be taking a look at the participating countries and their entries that have avoided the dreaded ‘Nul Points’ in the Grand Final – thanks to just one other participating country. Today we look at Ireland.
2004
In 2004, Ireland was represented by Chris Doran in Istanbul. “If My World Stopped Turning” would have been awarded the dreaded Nul Points had it not been for the British Jury awarding Ireland 7 points. Ireland finished joint 22nd out of a field of 24.
2007
In 2007, Ireland was represented by Dervish in Helsinki. “They Can’t Stop The Spring” would have been awarded the dreaded Nul Points had it not been for the Albanian Jury awarding Ireland 5 points. Ireland finished last/24th.
