In this series from Eurovision Ireland, we will be taking a look at the participating countries and their entries that have avoided the dreaded ‘Nul Points’ in the Grand Final – thanks to just one other participating country. Today we look at Switzerland.
1962
In 1962, Switzerland was represented by Jean Philippe in Luxembourg. “Le retour” would have been awarded the dreaded Nul Points had it not been for the German Jury awarding Switzerland 2 points. Switzerland finished joint 10th out of a field of 16.
1968
In 1968, Switzerland was represented by Gianni Mascolo in London. “Guardando il sole” would have been awarded the dreaded Nul Points had it not been for the Yugoslavian Jury awarding Switzerland 2 points. Norway finished joint 13th out of a field of 17.
