Safa Safiyari, the head of SVT Barn, has spoken out about SVT’s further participation at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. While it is unlikely at the moment, the broadcaster is not saying never again.

Safa Safiyari said the following on the subject:

“After the break that was taken in 2014, we have raised the question on several occasions and tested whether the break should continue or not, it has basically happened every two years. But as the show is constantly evolving, we have come to the conclusion that JESC does not fit the mix we want on our content. The door has not been completely closed for participation in the future.”
