– It’s been 5 long years since we last saw Switzerland, Iceland and San Marino in a Eurovision final – so an extra big congratulations to all of them for qualifying!

– North Macedonia’s qualification on Thursday night ends a long drought of not making it to the final of the Eurovision Song Contest. Their last appearance at a final was 7 years ago in Baku!
– Tonight’s songs are sung in 8 languages. These are English, Albanian, French, Slovene, Icelandic, Italian, Serbian and Spanish. Denmark’s entry also features phrases in German and Danish, while San Marino’s song has 3 words in Turkish!
– Debuting in 2007, Montenegro has the unfortunate distinction of missing out on the final 9 times! Keep trying Montenegro, you’ll get there again one day!

Malta, Albania, the Czech Republic, San Marino, North Macedonia, Slovenia, Cyprus, Iceland, Belarus and Australia have never lifted that Eurovision trophy before – could that all change tonight for one lucky contestant?
