Eurovision 2018

#JESC18: Welcome Wales!!!

Wales are searching for talented youngsters to take part in a brand-new competition to find a representative from Wales to compete in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Minsk, Belarus. You will need to sing in Welsh if you reach the final 12…but don’t worry…there will be lots of help available along the way.

The national selection will be called “Chwilio am Seren”/”Search For A Star”.

12 lucky acts will then be selected to move on to the mentoring stage to develop their skills in the company of three experienced mentors and performing coaches. The best 6 acts will then move on to compete in the LIVE final in which a panel of experts and the viewing public will choose the best individual or group to fly the flag for Wales.

Details on how you can apply, can be found HERE.

  1. Good move !

I am aware the BBC have the rights for all of the UK, but maybe they should divide into 4 EBU members regional TV for Eurovision (the adult version): more language diversity (maybe) and more neighbours for more support !

When will Ireland select a Gaelic song for the adult version of Eurovision ? Can you tell if there is any support for this to happen once in a while ? It would not hurt your chances : Celtic music is appreciated everywhere.
