This year France decided to select their representative throughout a show intitled Destination Eurovision 2018.
The format of the competition will consist of three shows: two semi-finals, on 13 and 20 January 2017, and a final on 27 January 2017. A total of 18 acts will battle to win the first place and represent France in Lisbon. In each semi-final we’ll be able to see perform 9 singers, but only four will advance to the final from each show.
The four semi-final qualifiers will be determined via a jury panel: 3 Francophone artists (Amir, Isabelle Boulay and Christophe Willem) and 3 international members.
The final winner will be determined via a combined 50/50 public-international jury vote.
