The Results from Semi Final 1 at Eurovision 2016! Who narrowly missed out on a place in the Grand Final?
Well the answer is that nobody missed out narrowly making the Top 10 in Semi Final 1. It was pretty clear-cut as the gap between Croatia in 10th place and Bosnia Herzegovina in 11th place was 29 points.
The surprises here were Malta scoring extremely high with the Juries and way down 11th with the public. This was again replicated tonight in the Grand Final where they were Top 5 with the Jury but bottom 5 with the public.
Again the Czech Republic was greatly favoured by the Juries and were outside the top 10 on the Public vote.

Russia handsomely won Semi Final 1 between the Juries and tele vote. Austria came second in the televote but the Juries had Zoe well outside of the Top 10.
What is interesting to note is that the song that came bottom of Eurovision 2016 came from Semi Final 1 and was Estonia who takes the Wooden Spoon award with a poorly 24 points in total making them 42nd at Eurovision 2016.
