Each year, various polls are carried out to find out the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest and here in the Press Centre it is no different. The poll took place after the Jury Final last night and each participating Press Member were asked to predict a Top 5. Five points went to their favourite, four for their runner up and then 3, 2, 1.
The Press predicted that Ukraine would win with 99 points, closely followed by Australia with 91 points. Russia came in third with 74 points. The United Kingdom managed to secure 2 points, taking joint nineteenth place with Azerbaijan.

However, it wasn’t good news for five of this year’s finalists. Croatia, Cyprus, Germany, Lithuania and Poland all achieved Nul Points.
