As many of you already know, Nika Kocharov & Young Georgian Lolitaz are set to represent Georgia at the Eurovision Song Contest. They are an indie rock band and the first all-male band to represent Georgia in the contest.
Songwriters were invited to send in their entries for the band. More than 100 entries were received. Now the five best songs have been selected by an expert commission, and the public will be asked to choose the winning song.
The music videos will be shot on January 31st at the pavilion of the Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB). Then, the five selected songs will be premiered in the Communicator show on GPB’s First Channel on February 3rd.
Viewers will then be able to vote for their favourite song from February 4th to February 15th. The winning song will be decided by a 50/50 split of viewer’s votes and an international expert jury.
The song that Nika Kocharov & Young Georgian Lolitaz will sing in the Second Semi-Final of the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest will finally be revealed live on the Communicator show on February 15th.
