‘Goodbye to Yesterday’ and ‘Come On Everybody’ as Eesti Laul 2016 is set to break the record books!
Elina and Stig worked their magic in Vienna this year and it seems that they have got Estonia pumped up for another bite of the Eurovision Cherry in 2016.
The song submissions for Eesti Laul have closed and the Estonian broadcaster has received 238 entries which is their highest to date.
Producer Mart Normet joyfully commented
‘Having 238 songs submitted is truly a sign of recognition for the work we have done in the past years. It’s also concrete evidence that we are growing. Without a doubt moving the contest from the Nordea Concert Hall to Saku Suurhall was the only right decision’.
The 20 semi finalists will be announced this Thursday November 5th on the popular TV Show ‘Ringvaade’ at 18:00 CET. As we speak 11 music professionals are shortlisting the artists that will be announced for Eesti Laul 2016.
This year the final of Eesti Laul GROWS as it will be held in the Saku Suurhall- the same venue as the 2002 Eurovision Song Contest. Big is Beautiful and I still like Fairytales!
Schedule for Eesti Laul 2016
Semi-final 1 – 13th of February 2016
