Hola! Edurne may not have wowed us in Vienna with her Harry Potter style dance moves but that has not dampened the spirits or enthusiasm of Spanish artists wanting to step up to the challenge and bring Spain their 3rd Eurovision win!
Mina DePop earlier this year released the song ‘Camaléon’ that reached the Spanish top 10 on iTunes and #2 on Google Play. The song even reached #35 in Costa Rica (let’s hope that Costa Rica are asked to join the contest). The video for the song was directed by Marc Martin whom has worked with Marta Sanchez and Avril Lavigne.
Last week Mina released a new song ‘Derramaré’ that has already climbed to #12 in the Spanish iTunes charts.
Mina DePop was one of the headlining acts at Pride in Barcelona along with Ruth Lorenzo. ‘Shanguide’ magazine recently awarded Mina DePop as LGBT artist of the year. This has led to Mina’s fans asking the band to seek the Spanish entry for Eurovision 2016.
So what do you think of Mina representing Spain in Stockholm? Would TVE take the chance on Mina? Would Europe like Mina?
Let us know.
