UK Eurovision Star to Headline International LGBT Festival – But Which one?
The Outing Lisdoonvarna LGBT Matchmaking & Music Festival will take place in the stunning West of Ireland’s County Clare from October 2nd – 4th 2015. The event will be hosted by the International renowned Activist/Drag Performer and Comedienne Panti Bliss.
Now in its third year, the fast growing offshoot of the historical matchmaking festival is back and bigger than ever. With pop-up clubs, drag performances, comedy, live music, GAZE Film Festival on tour, art exhibition, interactive events and now Eurovision Winner. It’s a guaranteed craic-filled weekend away on Ireland’s stunning west coast and part of The Atlantic Way.
This year the festival will have you ‘Walking on Sunshine’ and is determined to make ‘Love Shine A Light’ on the party goers as the UK’s Eurovision Winner Katrina and the Waves is set to headline the event. Katrina shot to fame with the 80’s classic song ‘Walking on Sunshine’ (how many times have I made a fool of myself on the dance floor to that song) and then provided the UK with their last Eurovision Win (that was coincidently in Ireland) back in 1997.
Now The Outing Festival is fast becoming one of Europe’s most unique music, cultural and matchmaking events. Actually there is little like it about. Keep a close eye on their website as there maybe more Eurovision events taking place in the weekend’s line-up #JustSaying 😉
Tickets are selling out fast so don’t miss out on getting your ticket. It’s my birthday that weekend so feel free to send me over a drink (or ten) if you see me there!
