Greece : ‘OPA’ as the Greek Broadcaster NERIT is ratified as an official EBU member today.
What does that mean?
Well it means that the Greek Broadcaster is now member of the EBU and is eligible to apply to be at Eurovision 2015 in Vienna.
Speaking at the 73rd EBU Assembly today in Geneva Mr. Jon Ola Sand, EBU’s Executive Supervisor for the Eurovision Song Contest said
“We’re glad to have Greece joining the 60th Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna. Their dedication to the biggest music event in the world has been impressive throughout the years”
It would not be Eurovision without Greece at the contest. Since 2001 they have been regulars in the Top 10 in the Grand Final of the contest and eventually won Eurovision in 2005 with Helena Paparizou’s ‘My Number One’.
Welcome to the EBU NERIT.
