Belarussian broadcaster BTRC has held a national final in Minsk, and selected the song ‘Sokol’ as its entry for the 2014 Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

The national final consisted of 10 lucky songs, and the final choice was with a 50/50 mixture of expert jury and televoting.  But in an interesting twist, a further jury vote was necessary as three songs tied for first place.

Do you like the song?  Let us know.  Belarus has participated in every Junior Eurovision Song Contest (JESC) and was the first country to win twice.  So there’s a reputation to defend.

JESC takes place on 15 November from the Malta Shipbuilding.  Fifteen countries will be participating.
