Norway : Alexander Rybak for Eurovision 2015? That is the news coming through to Eurovision Ireland. The Eurovision ‘Fairytale’ winner from 2009 is seeking to be a writer of a potentially another winning song.
Rybak attempted to represent Norway for a second time at Eurovision 2013 when he was the composer of Annsofi’s song ‘I’m with you’ at Melodi Grand Prix. The song placed 4th in the Grand final.
This year we have been told by sources that Alexander Rybak is working with 2013 MESC Maltese singer Franklin on a potential song to represent Malta at Eurovision 2015.
Franklin you will remember placed 7th in the 2014 Maltese National Final for Eurovision with the song ‘Love Will Take Me Home’. The singer is managed by Eurovision veteran Glen Vella (Malta 2011) and sources close to the singer say that Franklin has been working on a possible MESC song for 2015 with Rybak.
Rybak spent last weekend in Malta fueling the local media speculation that he is looking to Malta as a possible place to enter another Eurovision song.
After we posted our story Alexander took to facebook to post a picture of himelf with the young singer Franklin confirming
“For those of you wondering what I’ve been doing in Malta the last days:
As you may know, I’m in love in songwriting. Not only for myself, but for other artists too. And this year my fried Olivier introduced me to Franklin Calleja, an amazing singer from Malta.
I’ve written a song for him, and I’m sure that all of you will fall in love with his voice, and maybe even the song.
So tell all your Maltese friends (and all your other friends) to join this fast-growing Facebook group, and stay tuned.
With love and excitement,
