Belarus will select their song for Eurovision in the first days of January 2014. Marat Markov, Deputy Chair of Belteleradiocompany – was appointed as the head of the Belarusian delegation for Eurovision 2014. His assistant will be the Director General of TV Channel Belarus 2 Olga Shliager.

“Belteleradiocompany and the organization committee took a decision about holding only the final of the national selection round”, said Olga Shliager, who claimed that there are “no other serious changes in the procedure of the national selection round this year”.
The national selection round and preparation of Belarus to Eurovision-2014 is organized by Belteleradiocompany, as a member of the European Broadcasting Union.
Now we all know that Belarus has had a fascinating tradition of changing their Act and Song following their National Selection. With them selecting their song in early January this leaves 3 months to change either their act or song before the official deadline for Eurovision song submissions in March 2014.

Since their début in the contest in 2004 – Belarus has made the Top 10 at Eurovision once, back in 2007 with Koldun and the James Bond Inspired song “Work Your Magic” – which I rather still like today.
