In July we reported that Portugal were potentially reviewing a return to Eurovision 2014 – see here – Well our good friends at “escXtra” have added further information to Portugal at next year’s contest.

According to escXtra, sources close to RTP (Portuguese Broadcaster) are currently planning a Delegation for Eurovision 2014. The broadcaster withdrew from the 2013 contest citing financial constraints.

One would certainly like to think that the continued success of “Eurovision Live Concert SETÚBAL″ would have shown RTP the passion for the contest and Portugal at Eurovision.

We await official confirmation from RTP – fingers crossed – as they were certainly missed in Malmo.
