Austria will be sending the artist Conchita Wurst to Eurovision 2014 in Copenhagen. The news came today from Austrian media agency Heute.at .

You will remember Conchita from her 2012 Austrian National entry that came second to “The Trackshittaz” –  with the song “That’s What I Am”.

Conchita Wurst was selected internally by ORF to be Austria’s singer for Eurovision 2014. It is still to be confirmed if there will be a public selection for the song that Conchita will sing in Copenhagen.

Conchita has had her own reality show “Wild Girls” on RTL that has brought her further attention and interest. The show saw her deep in the African jungle.

Could you imagine if Russia had won Eurovision this year and Conchita was performing on a Moscow stage? Anyways we think this is a fantastic choice by ORF. You can expect some glamour on the Copenhagen “Industrial Eurovision Stage” – Thank you Conchita.

This now makes 3 performers selected for Eurovision – Austria, FYR Macedonia and San Marino.

Vote here and let us know which of the 3 artists already selected for Eurovision 2014 excites you most – musically that is!

We remember Jedward commenting on the Austrian national selection in 2012 – and for once the Twins were NOT in agreement. One selected “The Trackshittaz” and one “Conchita Wurst”. If an act can almost tear Jedward apart then they must be worth taking notice of.

Austria have already made Eurovision 2014 interetsing – and it is only September 2013!

Make sure to vote in our poll and tell us your thoughts on Conchita’s selection.

Now what would Petra Mede have to say about “Drag Queens” now?
