Eurovision 2013 winner Emmelie de Forest is scoring high in the radio charts in Brazil of all places.  She is at # 2 in the radio airplay chart of one of the country’s most popular radio stations – Antena 1.

The station broadcasts across the major cities of Brazi including the capital Brasília, São Paulo and Belo Horizonte. “Only Teardrops” is on the A- Playlist with the radio station and #2 on their requests. Other national stations are also putting Emmelie on their playlists as a result.

The last time a Eurovision related song had such an impact in South America was with the Spanish national final entry in 2008 by La Casa Azul and the song “La Revolución Sexual”. Is Emmelie about to score a chart hit in Latin America?

Last week Emmelie officially opened an exhibition in the National Museum in Copenhagen, to celebrate her Eurovision win. As part of the exhibition you can see the “Repaired Eurovision Trophy”, The now infamous tin whistle and bracelet that Emmelie wore on stage.

Also included in the collection is Emmelie’s dress that she wore at the contest.

However the strangest thing that is included in the exhibition is a cast of Emmelie’s feet. Yes the Danes seem to have a foot fetish and wanted to preserve forever Emmelie’s bare feet that she gave her winning Eurovision performance in. Strange but true. Hollywood actors get a star – Well Danish stars get their feet cast.

Emmelie is soon to follow up her Eurovision winning entry with the song “Hunter and Prey”. Will this have an impact on the charts also? Time will tell – but her feet are proving to be a big attraction in the Danish National Museum.

We have also come across this amazing mash up of “Only Teardrops” with Within Temptation – Murder, Linkin Park – In My Remains
Emmelie De Forest – Only Teardrops, Swedish House Mafia ft. John Martin – Save The World and Matisyahu – One Day. The Mash Up comes from “Arthur TheBootleg” on Soundcloud. Listen below.
