Azerbaijan`s First Lady, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation – Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva – has today met Farid Mammadov who represented Azerbaijan at Eurovision-2013 song contest in Malmo, Sweden and finished second in the Grand Final.
The First Lady – who was involved in the planning of Eurovision Contest last year in Baku – congratulated Farid Mamadov on his “successful performance and presentation of Azerbaijan`s culture in the final show of the contest”.

Mrs Aliyeva went on to say that it remarkable how the country has managed to perform consistently well at Eurovision in it’s brief history – where they have not failed to finish in the Top 10 in the Grand Final since they entered the contest in 2008- and puts it down to “good team work”.
Farid Mammadov expressed his gratitude to Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva and the Heydar Aliyev Foundation “for the care and attention shown to him.”

that guy definitely deserves his high ranks in contest!
I was impressed how much this woman is doing to support her country’s culture. The singer (Farid) was performing really well on the contest this year.
I hope he told her about what he saw in Sweden free and fair elections and. Excellent human rights!
