Ukrainian Prime Minister Makes Presentation to Zlata Ognevich

Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov congratulated Eurovision 2013 singer Zlata Ognevich on her achievement at this year’s contest. Zlata was presented with a “Certificate of Honour of the Cabinet of Ministers” and a watch by the Prime Minister at a press conference at Government buildings yesterday.
Prime Minister Azarov said that he “liked the song and its creative design. It’s nice that Ukraine was represented at such a high level. I took my time and watched all the competition. In my view, you were the best performer in this contest.”
Azarov noted that the victory of Zlata Ognevich was significant, as it showed Europe once again that Ukraine is very rich in talents. He stressed that the government will continue to support young talents with new initiatives and incentives.

Zlata – after several attempts to make it to Eurovision – finished 3rd in the Gran Final of the contest with the song Gravity.
