The “Best Of Eurovision: Ireland’s Winners” tour saw Johnny Logan, Dana, Linda Martin, Niamh Kavanagh, Paul Harrington and Charlie McGettigan perform to sell out audiences across Ireland. In a show that was encrusted with Eurovision gems, the 6 Eurovision winners took the audience down Eurovision memory lane and are set to do so across Europe this coming year.

Pat O’Mahony had the unique opportunity to spend time with the cast of the show throughout their preparations in October of last year. What he also experienced was the affection that the Irish Nation holds for the Eurovision Song Contest and its Irish winners.

The show may have looked amazing on stage but that is not to say that getting it to that performance level was not easy for all those concerned. Pat got to see the difficulties that such a performance takes to produce and the consummate professionalism of it’s leading Ladies and Men.

“A Eurovision Affair” certainly captures the magical feeling that the song contest holds on the country and is a unique insight into the artists that have made it part of Irish culture.
