SVT, the Swedish national broadcaster, have confirmed non-participation, at the 2027 Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

According to SVT, they have no plans to send a representative to the 2027 Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Despite not giving any specific reasons, it is known that the absence of Sweden is mainly due to an adjustment of programming strategies and the reorganisation of budgetary resources.
