🇭🇺 #ESC27: MRTV Negotiate A Lower Fee & An Extension For Participation Decision

MRTV, the newly restructured Hungarian national broadcaster, have negotiated terms for a potential return, at the 2027 Eurovision Song Contest, in Burgas.

CEO of MRTV’s interim management, Dr András Horváth, has negotiated with the EBU, the European Broadcasting Union, for a significant reduction in participation fee, as well as an extension to determine its participation. While the official deadline is set as Tuesday 15th September, MRTV have until Monday 7th December to decide on their participation. The final decision on participation will require the approval from the Independent Public Media Board.
