
For our Summer 2026 feature series, we are celebrating 25 years of Melodifestivalen on tour. We will take a look at the songs that have progressed direct to the final over the past two and a half decades. Today we are looking at the songs that have progressed from Karlstad.
2004 – Heat One
The first heat of 2004 took place at the Löfbergs Lila Arena, in Karlstad. Petra Nielsen took first place (95,030 votes), with “Tango! Tango!”, while Sara Löfgren took second place (69,791 votes), with “Som stormen”.
2006 – Heat Two
The second heat of 2006 took place at the Löfbergs Lila Arena, in Karlstad. Magnus Carlsson took first place (80,765 votes), with “Lev livet!”, while Kikki Danielsson took second place (71,545 votes), with “I dag & i morgon”.
