For our Summer 2026 feature series, we are celebrating 25 years of Melodifestivalen on tour. We will take a look at the songs that have progressed direct to the final over the past two and a half decades. Today we are looking at the songs that have progressed from Gothenburg.

2015 – Heat One

The first heat of 2015 took place at the Scandinavium, in Gothenburg. Eric Saade took first place (448,880 votes), with “Sting”, while Jessica Andersson took second place (212,965 votes), with “Can’t Hurt Me Now”.

2016 – Heat One

The first heat of 2016 took place at the Scandinavium, in Gothenburg. Robin Bengtsson took first place (949,535 votes), with “Constellation Prize”, while Ace Wilder took second place (872,676 votes), with “Don’t Worry”.

2017 – Heat One

The first heat of 2017 took place at the Scandinavium, in Gothenburg. Nano took first place (1,178,676 votes), with “Hold On”, while Ace Wilder took second place (1,066,246 votes), with “Wild Child”.
