
LSM, the Latvian national broadcaster, have confirmed Supernova 2027 – their national selection for the 2027 Eurovision Song Contest.
LSM have revealed the first details of Supernova 2027. Supernova will be a one night event and will be held for the first time at the Xiaomi Arena, on Saturday 6th February. Song submissions open on Saturday 1st August and will remain open until Thursday 1st October.
Supernova 2027 will take place across two rounds. In the first round, all of the finalists will perform with public voting alongside an international jury vote. The three acts that received the highest points total will progress to the Superfinal. In the Superfinal, the winner will be determined 100% public voting.
Agnese Štrause-Kubliņa, LSM’s Head of Entertainment and Documentary Content, had the following to say:
“Supernova is the beginning of the road to the big Eurovision stage and in 2027 we will start this road even more ambitiously – at the Xiaomi Arena! It will be a real music festival with magnificent surprises and special musical guests. For artists, it is a great opportunity to perform their song in front of such a large audience and for spectators in the arena – to see behind the scenes of the show and feel the energy of music in person.”
