The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) have confirmed that CBC/Radio-Canada, Canada’s national public broadcaster, will host the Eurovision Song Contest, upon any victory.
CBC/Radio-Canada will be allowed to host in Contest upon a victory, in comparison to SBS, the Australian national broadcaster, who would have to co-host alongside a European broadcaster. Dave Goodman, Head of Communication for the Eurovision Song Contest, had the following to say:
“In the event of Canada winning… the following year’s Contest would be hosted by CBC/Radio-Canada in Canada.”
