
İctimai, the Azerbaijani national broadcaster, have confirmed their non-participation, ahead of the 2026 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Ta’ Qali.
İctimai have withdrawn from participation, ahead of the 2026 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Ta’ Qali. Azerbaijan have participated at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest five times – 2012, 2013, 2018, 2021 and 2025. Turab Teymurov, the İctimai Head of Press, had the following to say to ESCplus Espana:
“We would like to inform you that Azerbaijan will not participate in this year’s Junior Eurovision in Malta.
We thank you for your continued interest and coverage and we wish the participating delegations a successful contest.”
