
SRG SSR, the Swiss national broadcaster, has confirmed participation in the 2027 Eurovision Song Contest.
SRG SSR have confirmed an internal selection will be used, as they have since done every year since 2019. Applications will open on Thursday 20th August, at 10:00 CEST, at srf.ch/eurovision and will close on Monday 7th September, at 23:00 CEST. Yves Schifferle, the Swiss Head of Delegation, had the following to say:
“Our goal remains unchanged. We want to find songs and artists that are internationally compelling and at the same time, authentically represent Switzerland. To achieve this, we are continuously developing our processes – based on our experience, with new ideas and modern tools.”
