
Here at Eurovision Ireland, we are taking a historical look back on our favourite Contests past and present, on the very day they took place. Today it’s February 2nd:
Tuesday 2nd February 1960
On this day in 1960, the 2nd edition of Melodifestivalen took place in Stockholm. Inger Berggren & Östen Warnerbring took victory with “Alla andra får varann” and 85 points. At the 1960 Eurovision Song Contest in London, Siw Malmkvist finished 10th, with 4 points.
