🇨🇾 #JESC24: The Cypriot Acts To Bloom At Junior

Eurovision Ireland’s countdown to the 2024 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Madrid, continues today. This year, our countdown will look at the top Acts to ‘Bloom’ for the Participating Countries past and present, while we will also look at the top five Acts to ‘Bloom’ from all the previous Contests.

Today we are looking at this year’s participating country of Cyprus. While they never made the #Top3 or the #Top5, the Cypriots have made the #Top10 a total of four times so far. The four Cypriot Acts to ‘Bloom’ within the #Top10 were:

2004: Marios Tofi, “Oneira” (8th place, 61 points)

2006: Luis Panagiotou & Christina Christofi, “Agoria koritsia” (8th place, 58 points)

2008: Elena Mannouri & Charis Savva, “Gioupi gia!” (10th place, 46 points)

2014: Sophia Patsalides, “I pio omorfi mera” (9th place, 69 points)

2024: Maria Pissarides, “Crystal Waters”

Can Maria Pissarides take Cyprus to their first ever #Top3 position or even their first ever victory? We will find out on Saturday 16th November.
